Fujitsu appoints industry veteran to boost growth in Malaysia

Japanese ICT solutions company Fujitsu has appointed industry veteran Sylvester San to helm its Malaysian partner ecosystem as channel director.

Philip Soh, Fujitsu Malaysia's chief executive officer, said, "Sylvester has made a significant contribution to the local Information Technology industry as a far-sighted and sharp strategist, specialising in large account penetration and maintenance of key accounts."

"His ability to foster good long-term relationships with key business partners as a result of consistently building trust over the years, is one of the key attributes we value in him," said Soh.

He said that 'Channel is key to Fujitsu's growth in Malaysia and to delivering Human Centric Innovation in the form of products, services, and solutions in Malaysia - using long-term, tactical, and effective planning and execution'.

Soh said San, who has 27 years' experience in the industry, has successfully developed and managed many channels, involving complex landscapes, and multi-product and multi-service deals, which use more than one partner to deliver a solution to customers.

Commenting on his appointment, San said: "This legendary Japanese ICT innovator (Fujitsu) focuses on advancing the social value of a business by developing human-centric technology that addresses pressing social issues, such as floods or diseases."

"To accomplish this, I look forward to working with our partners to develop and deliver the right mix of Fujitsu's broad portfolio of products, services, and solutions with our end users in mind," he said.

Fujitsu's global ecosystem currently involves 45,000 channel partners around the world, contributing 70 percent of Fujitsu's product revenues.
