Fuji Xerox has launched 14 full-colour digital multifunction devices for Malaysian offices - the ApeosPort-V C and DocuCentre-V C series - designed to intelligently offer best in class performance while keeping in tune with ecological sustainability, said the digital and imaging solutions provider.

The multifunction devices (MFDs) combine 'Real Green' solutions with 'Smart Energy Management' to help businesses reduce power consumption and carbon emissions, said Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific (Malaysia Operations) president Sunil Gupta.

Gupta said sound emissions have also been cut by 61 percent compared with the preceding series by using fewer moving parts and quieter scanning and output processes.

The company also uses 'Smart WelcomEyes Advance', an intelligent image recognition software that uses a real-time proximity camera and pyroelectric heat sensor to detect when a user is approaching the device, he said.

"When detected it wakes up from sleep mode so that it is ready instant use. Users will then also be greeted with their own personalised user interface and preferred settings for quick one touch operations providing users with a zero wait experience for faster and more efficient use of working time," said Gupta.

He said the new series should help businesses achieve higher productivity and drive smarter work performance. "[The systems are] capable of producing up to 70ppm, it is one of the fastest in its class, users can copy or print faster minimising time spent on this task thus maximising output."

"[They offer a] scan speed of up to 160 impressions per minute coupled with the addition of 'ScanAuto' feature, which allows automatic orientation and removal of white pages, saving users the trouble and time preparing the document and checking the scanned output," said Gupta.

" We have designed the new ApeosPort-V and DocuCentre-V series to know what you want as a user and to provide the specific tools needed to work effectively and contribute to a greener environment while maximizing productivity and cost efficiency," he said.
