"He is a well-known leader and one of the most forward-thinking strategists in the printing/document services industry. The job of a president requires qualities to successfully execute on the company's strategy and philosophy and we believe Gupta's brilliant track record as well as his leadership abilities will deliver improved execution and strengthen our presence in the Malaysian market."

Honda added that Gupta has 34 years experience and that this appointment signalled a renewed focus on the company's green initiatives.

Most recently, Gupta was the president and chief executive officer of Xerox International Partners, which handles sales and support of laser printers and related consumables for original equipment manufacturing customers. Gupta joined Xerox International Partners in 1992 and led many of the company's projects. He managed sales, marketing, and implemented strategies to enhance the company's infrastructure. In addition, he also oversaw the automation global supply chain and financial reporting systems.

Gupta said: "I am honoured and delighted to lead Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Malaysia Operations, and I look forward to working with the company's dedicated employees in order to bring cutting-edge products and services to the local market. The energy, talent pool and Malaysia's rich cultural diversity offer the opportunity for me to continue to learn, grow, and contribute in this emerging business environment."
