The first 100 customers to place a preorder will receive the 8.9in G Pad free, along with a wireless charging dock, valued at $399 and $69 respectively.

Optus has priced the G3 at $5 per month on its $60 My Plan over 24 months. Alternatively the smartphone can be purchased for $696 outright on an Optus SIM-only plan.

LG's G3 is the first smartphone in Australia to have a 1440p resolution screen and rear camera that uses a laser to autofocus. The 8.9in LG G Pad is a low-end tablet with a 1280x800 resolution screen and modest specifications to match.
