Telekom Malaysia's business process outsourcing arm, VADS Berhad, has announced that it is the first Malaysian ICT company to be certified with the Managed Services Master Channel Partner Worldwide (MS-Master) certification by networking specialist Cisco Systems.
VADS chief executive officer Ahmad Azhar Yahya said the Cisco MS-Master Certification is awarded to Cisco's partners who sell and deliver Cisco-based managed services through a premium network operations centre (NOC) investment, and offer enhanced management and stewardship practices. "It is the highest level of achievement for partners delivering Cisco technologies as a managed solution."
"We are very proud and honoured that our innovative managed services have been recognised by Cisco," he said. "The MS-Master status is one of Cisco's highest recognitions. The award is a result of our commitment to provide outstanding solutions to our customers. Most importantly, we now have access to resources, through Cisco's Managed Services Community - one of the few perks that come with the certification -that can help us envision, build, market, and sell managed services more effectively."
Before obtaining the certification, potential recipients undergo extensive third party independent audit to ensure that all processes and requirements are adhered to. Recipients of the certification must also demonstrate the capability to support a minimum of 10 customers, he said.
"Our collaboration with VADS over the last year, and with this announcement, will drive business transformation in Malaysia, as organisations' embrace new technologies towards becoming a connected nation," said Cisco Malaysia managing director, Yuri Wahab. "Congratulations on the certification and we look forward to developing opportunities for businesses in Malaysia."
VADS, Malaysia's ICT/BPO Powerhouse uses Cisco's IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation processes, practices and tools to support Cisco's managed services at all lifecycle phases: prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, and optimise.
