Evernote has yesterday (22 August 2013) announced its collaboration with Singapore info-communications provider StarHub as part of its expansion plans in Southeast Asia.
The move is in the hope of leveraging the region's explosive growth in the online population. Ken Gullicksen, chief operating officer of Evernote, also revealed that Singapore is the note taking app's most successful market in terms of market penetration. Out of Evernote's six million users globally, 400,000 are from the city-state.
Through this collaboration, all re-contracting and new StarHub Mobile post-paid customers will enjoy a complimentary one-year Evernote Premium subscription, which is valued S$58 (US$45). In addition, these customers will enjoy a partner-exclusive feature: video notes. With video notes, users are able to shoot and upload videos quickly within the Evernote app. This promotion is valid till 21 August 2014.
"By giving subscribers the ability to ubiquitously capture, access, and discover everything that's important to them, this partnership will chart the course for evolving mobile experiences for a new generation of consumers in Singapore," said Gullicksen.
