Digital imaging and printing solutions provider Epson is displaying some of its latest technologies at the KL International AV Show 2015, July 3-5 2015, with its flagship EH-LS10000 home theatre projector.
Epson Malaysia country manager Shimizu Tomoya said: "The Epson EH-LS10000 has taken advantage of our advanced 3LCD-R technology to create the highest contrast images we have ever achieved for our home theatre projectors."
"The other pioneering technologies it features, including the dual laser light sources and 4K enhancement technology, also represent our commitment to improve and enhance product innovations that deliver what customers are looking for," said Tomoya.
He said Epson has extended its innovations to include inkjet printers and printing systems, 3LCD projectors and industrial robots to sensors and other microdevices.
Epson's products and services aim to deliver value based on compact, energy-saving, and high-precision technologies in markets from enterprise and the home to commerce and industry, said Tomoya.
The projector on display in a home environment at the exhibition included "the world's first dual-laser 3LCD-Reflective (3LCD-R) optical engine technology, the projector is able to reproduce crystal clear images of up to 1,500 lumens of both colour and white light brightness with one of the industry's widest colour gamut," he said.
Tomoya said that the new optical engine technology was now also able to achieve an "absolute black contrast - meaning that shadow details are tremendously enhanced, and full-black scenes are displayed with perfect, 0 lumens black. The projector also debuts Epson's advanced 4K enhancement technology that processes 1080p full-HD videos to make them look as detailed as 4K ones."
The Epson EH-LS10000, available from 3 July in Malaysia through authorised Epson outlets and dealers, has garnered international awards, said a company statement. "Most notably it won the 'Editor's Choice' award from professional projector review site ProjectorCentral, with a five star rating for every metric it was measured on, and with the projector being described as "revolutionary".
