Data centre and infrastructure systems firm Emerson Network Power has strengthened its industrial service capability in Southeast Asia and North Asia with the appointment of Malaysian Patrick Chan.
As Industrial Service Sales Manager operating from Kuala Lumpur, Chan will cover Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, said Emerson Network Power Asia vice president for service and project management Chris Mandahl.
"In today's increasingly competitive business landscape, industrial companies are relying more than ever on facility support infrastructure to keep their critical systems running," said Mandahl.
"Ensuring the continuity of these systems through service deployment becomes paramount to the safety, productivity and profitability of operations. Otherwise, in the event of unpredictable downtime, the effects could be devastating," he said, adding that to keep intensive industrial applications running required higher levels of availability.
"Given such environmental conditions, critical processes are highly vulnerable to equipment failure, human error, and natural events," added Emerson Network Power's Chan. "Faced by that level of intensive varying needs, industries require a greater level of reliability and service support to ensure these processes never go down."
Chan comes to Emerson Network Power with 14 years of industry experience, and was most recently the regional sales manager for Besi APAC South East Asia.
