Desigual to expand into other geographies with Oracle solutions

Customers of fashion retailer can expect improved personalised shopping experience with Oracle solutions.

International fashion retailer Desigual has decided to maximise Oracle's commerce capabilities to further its plans to move into other geographies and improve its relationship with its customers.

Oracle said its commerce solutions will enable the Spanish fashion house to deliver personalised shopping services to its customers across multiple channels by expanding the commerce capabilities of the Oracle ATG Web Commerce.

Desigual has been using Oracle ATG Web Commerce, a commerce software platform, since 2006 when the fashion retailer launched its business-to-business platform. In October 2010, Desigual then launched its business-to-consumers (B2C) platform using the same Oracle commerce platform. Oracle said the fashion retailer now provides online operations in nine countries and 11 languages. 

Although the latest press release did not indicate in which geographies Desigual will go into and how many countries or locations are involved, Oracle said the personalised shopping experience will be delivered to Desigual's customer "globally". Desigual operates in 55 countries through owned stores, authorised retailers and concession stores.

Oracle said its ATG Web Commerce can deliver this personalised customer buying experience "across all customer touchpoints, including the Web, contact centre, mobile devices, social media, physical stores, and more."

Across geographies and channels

To deliver this customer experience globally, Desigual will be using the Oracle ATG Web Commerce with the Oracle ATG Web Commerce Merchandising and the Oracle ATG Web Commerce Service Center.

Together with the Oracle Endeca Guided Search, the Oracle retail applications can help Desigual gain better control of how they want to connect with their customers across channels. The Oracle solutions can also help Desigual launch targeted campaigns, and seamlessly integrate Web and contact centre operations to increase satisfaction and improve conversion rates.
