Deloitte has established its fourth digital studio in Brisbane, after linking up with web content management consultancy, Digicon.
The transaction will bring an additional 20 digital specialists into its Brisbane office. The move comes on the back of demand in the state across the public and private sector for digital customer platforms.
It has digital studios in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.
Deloitte Digital lead partner, Frank Farrall, said it experienced double digit growth during the past four years and was reviewing how to grow the business unit in the next year or so.
"The Brisbane economy was something we were interested in. We had a gap in our footprint and we were doing a bit of project work there," he said. "We have aspirations to be a billion dollar business, globally in the next five years, and we're growing very aggressively in all the markets we operate in."
One of its top partners is digital personalisation and content management system, SiteCore.
Farrall said it experienced a lot of demand for that technology.
"As we were started to look at the Brisbane market, we heard a lot of positive news with the work Digicon was doing, particularly on the SiteCore technology," he said.
Combining the two teams, Farrall said, provided Digicon's clients with access to its local and global design teams, intellectual property and business insights. The Digicon name will cease to trade as employees move over to Deloitte Digital.
This is part of many investments Deloitte is planning to make in the tech sphere and has its eye on mobile technologies, digital customer platforms and social media.
