Dell appoints three Malaysians to senior roles

KUALA LUMPUR, 18 MAY 2011 - Computer firm Dell has appointed three Malaysians to senior leadership roles in a move to enhance its regional as well as its global team, said the company.

The three new appointments include new site leaders for Dell Global Business Centre (DGBC) in Malaysia's Cyberjaya and Penang, The three appointees are:

• Pang Yee Beng [shown above], who takes over as managing director, Dell Global Business Centre, Cyberjaya.

As of 1 May, Pang took over from Bobbi Dangerfield, who will be returning to the United States to focus on her global role. He will lead a team of almost 850 staff at DGBC as well as continue his responsibilities as executive director for Dell's Advanced Systems Group for APJ [Asia Pacific and Japan] CSMB (consumer and small and medium business).

 

• Varinderjit Singh is appointed as managing director, Dell Global Business Centre, Penang, & executive director for CSMB, Malaysia & Singapore.

Singh, who has more than 21 years in the marketing area of the IT industry, will be responsible for revenue growth across the company's consumer, mobility and commercial products, solutions and services in Malaysia and Singapore.

 

•   John Chang joins Dell as general manager, consumer and small business sales Malaysia
 
Chang is responsible for managing Dell’s consumer and small business segments in Malaysia as well as managing a team of sales personnel serving Dell’s channel partners and resellers nationwide.
