Dassault Systèmes is set to serve the social enterprise with the launch of a 3D Experience platform at Southeast Asian Forum in Jakarta.

The company's newly released 3DExperience platform combines social innovation capabilities, realistic 3D Virtual experiences and intelligent search-based technologies to pioneer a new technological wave for the social enterprise.

The company recently held the two-day 3DExperience Forum 2012 for the first time in Southeast Asia offering business and technology leaders an opportunity to network and gain unique insights on industry trends and experience demos presented by Dassault Systemes.

The event took place at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta and was attended by executives from various industries around the region such as mining, aerospace, automotive and education.

Delivering sustainable innovations

Dassault Systemes has entered a new phase in delivering holistic and sustainable innovations as noted by the opening speaker Pierre Marchadier, vice president, Corporate Communications & Global Industry Development Dassault Systèmes.

Dassault Systèmes specialises in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.

“We have evolved the V6 platform to serve the social enterprise of the 21st century,” said Samson Khaou, Managing Director Dassault Systèmes Asia Pacific South. “3D Experiences are a catalyst for innovation, enabling any enterprise stakeholder to participate in the innovation process, contributing to drive value for the end consumer.”

As part of its strategy to foster innovations that will serve society and improve the life of people in a sustainable way Dassault Systemes announced its intention to acquire Gemcom Software in April this year.

It will acquire the geological modelling and simulation company for about US$360 million.

"With Gemcom, Dassault Systemes is taking the first step towards Nature. This is particularly significant in Indonesia, a leading global player in the mining sector," added Khaou.
