Global unified threat management specialist Cyberoam has added two more models to its NG series for Malaysia-based small and medium enterprises, it said.

Cyberoam's Malaysia channel manager Pauline Jacintha said the two new unified threat management (UTM) models - CR200iNG and CR300iNG - would meet the evolving security needs of Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

"Malaysian SMEs are becoming more receptive to embrace new technologies and IT driven business models," said Jacintha. "Besides protection against latest security threats, they seek more visibility, control and enhanced understanding into their network environment and user behaviour."

"Small and medium enterprises today realise that their network security appliances need high throughputs, identity-based controls, advanced threats & application protection, support for advanced connectivity technologies like 4G onto a single appliance," she said. "The Cyberoam CR200iNG and CR300iNG models, which are preloaded with Cyberoam OS, bring future-ready security to small enterprises together with performance that is at par with large enterprise-grade security appliances."

"Both appliances included matching software capabilities as well as other Cyberoam NG Series security features such as Web application firewall, application visibility & control, identity-based controls with layer 8 technology, advanced threat protection [APT] comprising intrusion prevention system [IPS], gateway anti-virus/anti-spyware, gateway anti-spam, Web & content filtering and outbound spam protection and VPN [virtual private network]," said Jacintha.
