Security solutions provider Corero Network Security (Corero) wants to drive adoption of DDOS Defense and Next Generation intrusion prevention systems (NGIPS) in Malaysia with the launch of its new partner programme called Securewatch.
Corero's new general manager, Southeast Asia, Eryin Halmen, said: "With cyber attackers increasingly launching DDoS [denial of service] attacks and leveraging sophisticated malware, enterprises need the most effective and comprehensive front-line protection available on the market, dedicated, expert support and trusted advisors who stand with them against those who would do harm to their customer's business."
"As attackers adopt new weapons and methods such as low and slow DDoS attacks, smoke screens to divert attention from more surreptitious attacks aimed at stealing data, new technology solutions are required," said Halmen. "Corero's unique on-premises DDoS defence solutions will help to protect against traditional network-layer DDoS attacks and specially crafted application-layer DDoS attacks, which conventional cloud- and ISP-based [Internet service provider-] services cannot stop."
"Together, Corero and our partners will aim to deliver the products and services to ensure information security and uninterrupted business continuity to Malaysian organisations," he said.
Speaking of benefits to partners, Halmen said: "In addition to award-winning technology and competitive margins, channel partners also will benefit from Corero's responsiveness and high touch. Highlights of the SecureWatch Partner programme include qualified lead forwarding, guaranteed margins as well as training and certification."
Corero Network Security's current distributors are ACA Pacific Technology in Malaysia and Info Security Consultant in Thailand.
