Citrix has continued its expansion in Malaysia with the appointment of a new country manager, industry veteran Wendy Kho.
Mark Micallef, Citrix area Vice President, said the company has experienced consistent growth across the ASEAN region and this appointment reflects the commitment to invest in Malaysia and the growth opportunity within the market.
"The Malaysia market is key to our continued growth and success in the ASEAN region, mobility is fast becoming the norm in Malaysia, with mobile penetration at 140 per cent and an estimated 10 million smartphone users active in the country," said Micallef.
He added that The Citrix Workplace of the Future report has Malaysia as leading the world, with an average of six devices per employee connected to the corporate network.
This was ahead of the rest of the Asia Pacific with an average of 4.39 devices, and ahead of the global average of 4.43 devices, said Micallef.
The report also predicted that by 2020 the global average will rise to almost six devices, while Malaysian employees will continue the device consumption, rising to a possible eight devices per employee.

"I join Citrix at a time when the company's performance locally, particularly at the enterprise level, is growing strongly and I'm excited about working with the passionate people at Citrix Malaysia. I intend to ensure that Malaysia is integral to the continued growth of Citrix," said Kho.
"The Citrix team are pleased to have Wendy Kho on board as she brings exceptional experience to assist with our ongoing growth and commitment to Malaysia," said Micallef.
