This year, the annual prestigious CIO Awards recognise five organisations from Singapore, Hong Kong and Philippines for their outstanding IT projects.

Diving deep into infrastructural setup and deriving more value from IT are the prominent signs highlighted among this year's prestigious CIO Asia CIO Awards winners yesterday (March 13, 2013) at the Marina Mandarin Hotel in Singapore.

The five winners—selected by a panel of independent judges from a 'Roll of Honour' short list, the CIO 100 2013 Index—are Hong Kong's CLP Holdings Limited; Philippines' Manila Water Company, Inc.; Singapore's International SOS, Integrated Health Information Systems and National Healthcare Group Pharmacy (Singapore), and Ministry of Manpower of Singapore, Occupational Safety & Health Division.

The annual CIO 100 index, coordinated by leading regional enterprise IT magazine CIO Asia, published by Fairfax Business Media Asia, recognises regional enterprises and organisations that have excelled through creative and innovative IT projects in the past 12 months.

The CIO 2013 Award winning projects are:

CLP Holdings Limited (Hong Kong): Renewables Portfolio Management System
Headquartered in Hong Kong, CLP is an electricity utility company. The project was to implement a common and centrally hosted platform with live monitoring capabilities to improve the operational and strategic management of fast-growing renewables investment (wind and solar) in the CLP Group, supporting the complete lifecycle management of renewable projects from investment analysis, project development to plant operations and investment optimisation. The system provides the foundation to support business development initiatives, disseminate plant operations, maintenance and critical operational information for project stakeholders and senior executives who are located at the plant sites, country and regional headquarters. A first of its kind, the system represents leading edge IT solution that has earned positive feedback from industry peers and experts from around the world.

International SOS (Singapore): Project Symphony
International SOS offers world-class, value-added brand loyalty and concierge solutions to major banks, insurance companies and credit card brands from its global offices in 17 countries, including the US, the UK and across Asia Pacific. Its Project Symphony is an integrated concierge CRM and service delivery platform that enables clients to fulfil their brand promise to their customers. Compliant with the highest industry standard for data security, the system manages customer records, case details and the on-going delivery of premium concierge services globally. A key customer satisfaction metric for our concierge solution is repeat usage of the service. To achieve this, the new platform builds a unique lifestyle profile that tracks each customer's requests, regardless of which International SOS Concierge Centre they contact.
