IT solutions provider CA Technologies has made a RM20,000 (US$6,293) donation to Shelter Home for Children as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility commitment, it said.
Speaking during the presentation of the cheque on 17 July 2012, CA Technologies Malaysia and Thailand country manager Nutapone Apiluktoyanunt, said: "CA Technologies has a long history of giving back to the communities where our employees live and work."
"We are pleased to have been able to support the Shelter Home for Children who work to improve the welfare of children who slip through the cracks," said Apiluktoyanunt. "We believe every child deserves a chance and should be given the opportunity to fulfill their potential."
"We thank CA Technologies for its generous contribution," said Shelter Home for Children manager, John Roland. "This donation will help to defray our operating expenses, and help us to channel more funds towards child care and education expenses. Every contribution makes a difference to the lives of the children we serve by providing them with better education for a brighter future."
Together with CA-IT Infrastructure Solutions (CA-IT), CA Technologies country representative partner (CRP) for Malaysia, the company plans to support the Shelter Home with future contributions, and employee volunteer efforts for the non-profit organisation.
Shelter Home for Children is a registered welfare organisation that has been in existence since 1981 to help abused, abandoned, neglected or at-risk children and youths.
