A list of senior leaders from various service providers in the Asia Pacific region will be discussing the issues plaguing the broadband industry at the upcoming CommunicAsia2014.
The need for high capacity broadband and fibre broadband networks is ever-increasing due to the increased consumption of data and entertainment on mobile devices. Service providers thus need to consider issues including the management of network infrastructure and innovative business models.
To help service providers better understand this change, C-level experts on the broadband track of CommunicAsia2014 will provide an overview of the changing broadband market landscapes of Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Myanmar. There will also be a panel discussion which will touch on the identification of broadband opportunities in this region, the challenges and opportunities in billing and network provisioning, the issue of high-demand for broadband spectrum, and how to boost return on investments (ROI) for the broadband infrastructure.

Twitter's visionary address
Shailesh Rao, Twitter's Vice President for Americas, Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets, will take the stage at CommunicAsia on 18 June 2014 to highlight the value that social media is able to bring to the business.
In his visionary address titled 'You Matter: Asians Shaping The Pulse of the World Through Live, Authentic Conversations,' Rao will talk about the importance of engagement and why it is the only social currency that truly matters.
"Social media gives Asian consumers the ability to connect with each other, while enabling their voices to be heard around the world," said Rao."These public conversations, ranging from personal interests to key cultural moments, provide everyday opportunities for governments, businesses, media organisations and influential personalities to connect with people across the region. CommunicAsia will be held at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from 17 to 20 June 2014. It will be held alongside EnterpriseIT2014 and BroadcastAsia2014.
