Broomwell-Healthwatch Ltd. has deployed the E100L digital Loop Event Monitor by REKA Health in line with the expansion of its arrhythmia detection service offerings.
The former is a Manchester-based provider of within-minutes expert cardiac diagnostics, serving both England's National Health Service (NHs) Primary Care and the private market.
The ECG diagnostics services are done in-house by way of telephone and computer and Broomwell-Healthwatch is England's largest provider of such.
The Singapore-based REKA is the provider of a digital cardiovascular monitoring solution compliant with medical standard regulations for use by healthcare professionals and researchers.
Medical Grade Devices
The solution is made up of medical grade devices, computer and mobile software and cloud-based applications that are seamlessly integrated with each other.
The press statement described arrhythmia as a heart condition where sufferers experience irregular heartbeats with episodes of this taking place at any time and lasting for a few minutes to a few hours.
It said brownwell-Healthwatch's digital loop event monitor service, by way of the E100L is home-based and done seven days a week
As such, it records ECG data before and after an arrhythmia episode experienced by a patient.
The data is then uploaded to the REKA cloud solution to provide cardiac-physiologists with insights into what had triggered on the episode.
The E100L can fit into a pocket to give users mobility outside the hospital.
