Mr Ball said BlackBerry Enterprise Service in Australia was performing very strongly, and that the company revival story he pushes was evident in the widespread interest in its next generation offerings.
"We have doubled our enterprise sales team in the last six months . . . From our top 200 enterprise customers, we have over 90 per cent either in adoption or technical trials with the new platform and the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10, including one of the Big Four banks," he said.
He said the new Q10 was expected to add a fresh local growth option, with some touch screen users coming back to BlackBerry, after deserting.
He said that 97 per cent of the local smartphone market now comprised touch screen phones, with BlackBerry dominating the final 3 per cent.
"My expectation is that we will grow category share and probably shift the balance, rather than just playing within that 3 per cent," Mr Ball said.
"With Q10 and further products will launch in the QWERTY form factor category, I think we will grow share and expand the category out."
