Bit9 + Carbon Black has recently unveiled its new regional headquarters in Singapore as part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in Asia.

According to a media statement, the new establishment will serve as the company's hub for fostering relationships with customers and partners in Asia Pacific (APAC).

Following the launch, Bit9 + Carbon Black has also appointed Kane Lightowler as the new managing director of APAC. With 15 years of experience in enterprise security, he has played pivotal roles in the expansion of Imperva and Tumbleweed in the region.

Under Lightowler's leadership, Bit9 + Carbon Black will be focusing its efforts on establishing regional partnerships with value-added resellers, managed security services partners and incident response consulting partners.

"With cyber-attacks becoming increasingly sophisticated, it is no longer sufficient for organisations to rely on insufficient anti-virus or network security. Now, cyber criminals, nation-states and hacktivists can target organisation's endpoints, including ATMs and point-of-sale (POS) systems that contain critical information that is highly prized by attackers. We are confident that Bit9 + Carbon Black's solutions can meet the needs of organisations in the Asia Pacific region," said Lightowler.
