Technology solutions provider Intel Malaysia has launched a nationwide campaign to reach 500,000 youth in urban and rural areas of the country, it said.

The 'Be Amazing' campaign, which runs from 4 June to 31 December 2012, is also featured on Intel Malaysia's Facebook page, said Intel Malaysia country manager Prakash Mallya. The campaign will help us meet the computing needs of these consumers with the latest product offerings by Intel, namely the Ultrabook and laptops powered by the 2nd and 3rd Generation Intel CoreTM processors."

"We believe that today's mainstream users are extremely visual in their creation, consumption and communication of content," said Mallya. "They demand a combination of mobility and style, and a high performance computing experience that is visually rich and seamless to suit their active lifestyles."

He said the integrated campaign aimed to reach more than 500,000 consumers nationwide. "It is primarily focused on the connected youth in both urban and rural markets throughout the country. A series of 'Be Amazing' roadshows will be held in 23 cities across 13 states, covering 200 PC retail outlets and 30 universities and colleges in Malaysia."

"Apart from exciting and engaging on-ground activities for all, the roadshows will feature an array of Ultrabooks and laptops as well as special promotional deals by OEMs [official equipment manufacturers]," said Mallya.

 "At the roadshows, consumers will get the opportunity to have a hands-on experience of the Ultrabook, a new category of computers inspired by Intel," he said. "We are also excited to announce the 'Be Amazing' contest exclusively for consumers who purchase any PC powered by 2nd or 3rd Generation Intel Core processor at the various road show locations, 200 participating PC retail outlets and key PC fair venues."

He said that consumers who purchased any PC powered by 2nd or 3rd Generation Intel Core processor would stand an opportunity to win shopping vouchers with a collective total of RM20,000 (US$6,337).

"In addition, those who purchase any model of the Ultrabook will stand a chance to win the grand prize of a paid trip for two to Hong Kong to watch Wang Lee Hom live as well as exclusive passes to Lee Hom's private after-concert party during our Phase 1 contest," said Intel Malaysia marketing manager, Vanessa Ng.
