Security, application delivery and data protection vendor, Barracuda Networks, has extended its Australian partnership with WhiteGold Solutions and signed on the company as a distie in New Zealand.
As per the agreement, WhiteGold Solutions would be the single distributor for the vendor in the country and distribute Barracuda Networks' entire product range. The company also works with its integrator, Eagle Technology, in New Zealand.
Barracuda Networks sales manager, Greg Douglas, said WhiteGold Solutions is its longest standing distributor in Australia and claimed it "felt right to extend those ties".
Douglas added that the partnership was made to grow Barracuda Networks' market share in New Zealand.
"We are slowly doing more work behind the scenes as a vendor but we are going to invest a lot more time here, training partners and getting them registered," he said.
According to Douglas, the company's product portfolio is the "perfect fit" for the New Zealand market. He claimed that with its increased focus on firewall, Cloud storage, and back-up solutions, its resellers will be able to foster better communications and deals with its customers.
"These products enable partners to do managed services, which is very important," he said.
Douglas also most recently got together with its NZ channel partners to educate them on the company's renewed focus into the New Zealand market and overall strategy for the next few years.
