Alcatel One Touch has partnered with Marvel's Iron Man 3 to celebrate 20 years of the Alcatel brand, said the smartphone designer TCL Communications during the Malaysian leg of a worldwide launch.
Alcatel One Touch global go to market director, Frederic Fleurance, said: "Being part of the Iron Man phenomena is a great thrill for us all at Acatel One Touch. We are big fans of the franchise and are honoured to be involved. The One Touch Idol is one of our most stylish handsets and now a genuine film star."
So far 13 new smartphones under the Alcatel One Touch brand are being launched in markets around the world, and includes the launch of the world's slimmest smartphone - the One Touch Idol Ultra - as well as being an exclusive smartphone partner for Iron Man 3, said Fleurance.
Alcatel One Touch is the seventh largest global handset manufacturer, ahead of RIM, Motorola and HTC, with a solid market position in North America and Western Europe, added Fleurance.
Alcatel One Touch is a brand within TCL Communication, which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is part of consumer electronics firm TCL Corporation.
