Akamai has enabled media and entertainment company KKBOX to increase content availability in Hong Kong and Asia.
Akamai's media delivery solutions and web performance solutions has enabled media content to be broadly accessed and distributed on demand.
The deployment has increased download speed by 425 percent ensuring high-quality online viewing, faster loading and video broadcast for viewers in Southeast Asian countries.
KKBOX has successfully launched large-scale online events across multiple markets all at once and can now support 10Gbps of peak traffic.

KKBOX was challenged by slow speed of download as it began to expand its music delivery service to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Thailand.
After identifying this challenge the company decided to work with Akamai, and its solution tripled its number of members in the second month of deployment.
Thailand region experienced both addition of new members and an increase of music streaming traffic by 65 percent.
The implementation of Akamai solutions was done quickly and Akamai's Intelligent Platform allowed KKBOX to easily deliver its website and high-quality media content to its users.
