Acronis announces new leader to build on double-digit growth in Malaysia

Industry veteran CD Goh, the new Malaysia Country Manager, said one of his immediate goals will be to further strengthen the company's channel network.

Next generation data protection firm Acronis has announced the appointment of industry veteran CD Goh as the company's new country manager for Malaysia.

Acronis executive vice president for APJ & Emerging Markets, Jan Jap-Jager, said Goh will also represent Acronis in the region, which included a focus on Malaysian business growth through strategic partnerships, as well as expanding the company's presence in the cloud industry and new market verticals.

"Our business has grown by 30 percent in Malaysia for the last year and we see great potential in this market for Acronis' cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solutions and Mr Goh's deep knowledge and experience will be a great asset for us," he said.

Goh, who brings more 27 years of leadership experience in high-tech and IT companies in Malaysia, including almost 20 years at IBM, said: "I am excited to take up this responsibility and look forward to deepening Acronis relationship with partners and customers in Malaysia. In the immediate term we will be working on strengthening our channel sales network."
