3 Hong Kong, mobile operator of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited, announced yesterday (September 10, 2014) that it will offer the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on September 19, the same day as the sales launch in the United States.
The much-anticipated Apple smartphones are touted to be the thinnest and largest phones to be running on a new 64-bit chip.
Both phones sport bigger screens than the last generation iPhone 5s: 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches respectively (compared with the 5s's 4-inch display). In addition, they also run on the new A8 processor, which is said to be 25 percent faster than its predecessor.
Another unique feature of the phone is ApplePay - a new payment system using near-field communication technology (NFC) - that allows users to simply hold their Apple phone up to a sensor at a store's cash register before using TouchID to complete the purchase.
These phones will be available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. Keen customers can now preorder these phones online at iphone.three.com.hk.
