Transforming network economics with NFV solutions

Sejuti Das | June 29, 2016
Sajan Paul, Director Systems Engineering - India & SAARC at Juniper Networks says they’re seeing a strong demand for NVF, particularly from service providers and enterprise customers, and is looking to the technology to help drive enterprise future growth.

We have strategically developed new software and hardware that could help service providers to build high performance network infrastructures and secure cloud environments enabling rapid service provisioning based on actionable intelligence.

What are the opportunities for system integrators and enterprise channels with Juniper Networks?

Our partners have several opportunities to add value in building SDN/NFV, data center infrastructures, and their operations. Some of the key areas to which system integrators contribute today include network audit, systems integration, consulting, and maintenance support. In addition to the traditional stream of revenue, channels also look at building devops and netops capabilities to support the evolving SDN and NFV architecture.

Our commitment to our strategic alliance partners includes deep technology integration and market alignment. The combination of our offerings with the products and services of these global industry leaders delivers best-in-class solutions around the world. We also deliver innovation across routing, switching and security. Together with our technology partners, we deliver innovations in software, silicon and systems to transform the experience and economics of networking and security.

What are your new channel strategies to tap India's network virtualization function market?

Keeping in mind our long term goals, we have started rolling out aspects of our portfolio to support our customers' SDN journey. We are enhancing partner experience by evolving our award-winning partner programs for ease of use, focusing investments on high growth markets for revenue acceleration, and rewarding our partners with improved profitability for growing their business.

We are also continuing to invest deeply in our partner base and distribution, by focusing on people, investments and resources to maximize the opportunity for us and our partners in APAC region. Many enterprises are moving towards a hybrid-IT model, which can present interesting questions for partners to consider selling into this new model.

Our investments and resources are focused on leveraging the expertise, commitment and growth in our top tier of partners and distribution to support and drive many reseller partners. Investments have also been made in inside sales teams, who are opportunity-led and work across our broad spectrum of partners to focus on winning opportunities.

Some of our major partner programs include Premium Partner Enablement (PPE), Professional Services Marketplace, Champions Program, Ingenious Program, which help our channel strategy.

What is your next move and how are you planning the future?

As an organization, we constantly work to make tomorrow's networks available today. This will also be in line to the kind of decisions we make on day to day basis. With the networking industry undergoing such transformations, Juniper is committed to provide optimal solutions to our customers and users, service providers or enterprises alike.

The future will be heavily software and cloud oriented from a networking perspective. This is one of the reasons why a lot of our key focus areas revolve around the solutions on the front of software defined networking, network virtualization, and next generation cloud based services.
