CenturyLink has ensured user consistency in the end-user experience for Chennai, India based start-up, Appedo.
The application performance company is using CenturyLink's IaaS platform to help generate measureable and actionable intelligence, and improve overall testing bandwidth and efficiency.
"Performance problems can happen at any link in the chain," said P. Nagarajan, Co-founder and CEO at Appedo. "We collect millions of data points on our customers' application performance and give them the tools to see which links are hurting the user experience."
Appedo finds CenturyLink to be a reliable cloud vendor that has helped address these issues and enabled it to expand business globally.
The company finds using cloud as the platform for its application performance management (APM) solution is the best way to scale across geographies.
Influenced by technologies
Application performance can be influenced by several technologies, and Appedo was challenged to resolve latency issues customers were experiencing with existing infrastructure.
There were other issues as well including inconsistent performance between data centres across global locations and inability to easily scale capabilities as new customers come on board.
Appedo moved to CenturyLink's Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform and experienced improved performance and reduced latency. Eventually, this increased efficiency reduced Appedo's costs per data centre and created the headroom for business expansion as new customers were added.
Appedo is working with CenturyLink to build disaster recovery into its operations, and plans to expand as CenturyLink's cloud presence around the world expands.
