University of Bedfordshire adopts Nexthink to monitor 5,500 endpoints

IT department hopes tool will help to reduce incidents and manage them more proactively.

Chikniwala admits: "The transition was a bumpy ride, as they often are. But we got there in the end. That's the biggest cloud solution we have."

It has also just completed a £1.7 million project to refresh its entire Cisco network, he says.

Having invested over £8 million in ICT over the last two years, Chikniwala says his focus now will be to consolidate previous investments, refine previous implementations and make sure they're performing as expected, a task he says will be aided by Nexthink.

"The next chapter is Nexthink and how it can help us to improve and refine our estate even more. If someone had offered it to us two years ago, it wouldn't have been right for where we were in terms of maturity. It's come along at just the right time for what we need."
