Ricoh has introduced its first compact LED technology A3 colour printer with Malaysian small and medium businesses in mind, said the digital and imaging systems provider.
The SP C730DN is a light and quiet printer designed to provide high quality colour and A3 documents from the desktop at 1,200 dpi print resolution at high speeds, said Ricoh Malaysia chief operating officer Peter Wee.
"In line with Ricoh's new brand tagline 'imagine. Change.' we are committed to helping our customers, from large corporations to small businesses, embrace these changes through innovation, to build an information structure that will make their work processes simpler and more effective," said Wee.
"The SP C730DN is the first Ricoh printer to include light emitting diode (LED) printing, which helps to achieve amazing productivity from such a compact device, making printing razor sharp colour images at high-resolution speeds of 32 pages per minute (ppm) possible," he said.
"At the heart of this A3 printer is Ricoh's GWNX controller, which offers impressive device management," said Wee. "The SP C730DN is small in size for its A3 segment, but big on performance."
"The SP C730DN, which weighs 40kg with a paper capacity of 1,850 sheets, consumes less energy and saves cost due to its LED print technology capabilities," he said. "The built in ECO night sensor allows the main power to switch off automatically when the ambient light drops below a certain threshold, further saving the users' power consumption."
Wee added that the printer includes AirPrint functions that allow iPads, iPhones, and iPod touch users to wirelessly print photos, emails, web pages, and documents easily on any AirPrint-enabled device.
