New printing system targeted at data and commercial printing markets

Printing solutions company Fuji Xerox has launched the 1400 Inkjet Colour Continuous Feed Printing System that is targeted at the data and commercial printing markets such as banks, insurance and telecom companies.

This system is a high-speed inkjet printer that prints at 100 meters per minute in full colour duplex, which is equivalent to 1312 pages of double-sided, 2-up A4 document.

According to Fuji Xerox officials, the new system is available in Japan and Asia Pacific markets since September this year.

Fuji Xerox sources say that among printers with equivalent output speed of 100 meters per minute, the width of the 1400 series is the smallest in the world.

The printer is also lightweight as its body has been built out of a light aluminum frame. This enables the installation of the device on above-ground floor levels, claimed the officials of the printing company.

The printing system prints at a high resolution of 600x600 dots per inch and has a stability mechanism for paper path for clear and sharp printing.
