Fuji Xerox introduces affordable monochrome printers

These printers have the capability to print wirelessly with outstanding quality, and are ideal for students, home users and small workgroups that print low volumes, claims the imaging and printing solutions

Fuji Xerox Printers recently launched two new DocuPrint models - the DocuPrint P115 w and M115 w A4 - which are designed to provide high quality personal printing with superior efficiency and reliability.

These two new models are monochrome single and multifunction printers respectively, featuring connectivity and Wi-Fi capabilities. For instance, the printers can easily print from Apple and Android devices using the Fuji Xerox Print and Scan Utility App. The range also features effortless one-touch Wi-Fi setup, making the printers easy to share wirelessly among small workgroups.

Once the printer is set up, the first page prints in less than 10 seconds and the output is 20 pages per minute. This makes printing more efficient, providing maximum productivity.

Besides being a low-cost device, the compact size of the printer lets it fit neatly on any desk, while the silent standby mode and quiet operation makes the printer suitable for home use.

"The monochrome printer market is growing as more home and small workgroup users look for fast, quiet, efficient printers," said Vincent Sim, General Manager, ASEAN, Fuji Xerox Printer Channel, Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. "These affordable compact desktop printers deliver high quality personal printing while combining superior efficiency and reliability with wireless capability."

Print quality and reliability

The range offers high print quality at 2,400 x 600 dpi and provides sharp, crisp printouts while clever features have been included for reliability. This includes a dual roller system - which is made of a unique dust-repelling rubber - that picks up single pages more precisely.

Other features include a short paper path so the paper has less distance to travel, as well as longer paper guides, which help to minimise the chance of skewing and jamming. These contribute to the smooth running of the two DocuPrint models.

Another important feature of these printers is its price point, said Fuji Xerox. They are "extremely affordable", making them ideal for students, home users and small workgroups that print low volumes.

From February 2015, the P115 w will be exclusively available at FairPrice XTRA for S$79, while the M115 w will be exclusively available at Challenger Technologies Limited for S$149.
