"Mindstorm is a Linux-based platform that essentially encourages open sourcing. It allows people of all ages to create robotics using Lego blocks, put them online, and this serves as an innovation lab for the company, effectively changing the way the business operates," elaborated Ma.
"If you think about the 2nd Platform era, we used to apply technology horizontally. For the first time, we are actually using technology to change business models and business processes. These processes can be customer-facing or internal facing. But either way, this is the kind of scenario that we are looking at; whereby at the end of 2017, two-thirds of Global 2000 (G2000) enterprises will have digital transformation at the centre of their corporate strategy. And by 2020, 60 percent of G2000 will double their productivity by digitally transforming themselves," he added.
