Telstra Global, a leading global supplier of managed network and hosting services, has been selected by targeted online advertising firm Turn to provide its low latency connectivity backbone to support its expansion plans into Asia.
Telstra will support Turn's cloud marketing platform with highly secure, reliable and scalable connectivity into Asia. Turn, which helps advertisers target digital ads by determining likely demographic attributes and synchronises billions of data records throughout its global network in real-time, will use Telstra's network and hosting services to support the rapid delivery of the 950,000 advertising impressions its system analyses each second.
Turn recently finalised its European network infrastructures in Amsterdam and London. It will use Telstra Global's EPL links with diverse routes and its Hong Kong IP Transit and Data Centre services.
Turn last October established its Asian headquarters in Hong Kong, where it also signed with Telstra to provide data centre and colocation services there. The new colocation was built to ensure that customers in Asia would experience the same performance and scale as those in Europe and North America.
Turn Senior Vice President, Engineering, Dominic Bennett, said the company chose Telstra Global due to Telstra's reputation and reach within Asia, as well as its ability to provide flexibility as the company grows.
Last October, Telstra also announced the launch of a new data centre in Singapore. The facility will provide hosting space for financial, media and technology enterprises needing the latest in secure colocation, managed hosting and network solutions.
