Trend Micro is expanding their Smart Protection Network, announced the cloud security leader today.
The company's Smart Protection NetworkTM will boast newly added technologies, custom tools and an evolved cloud infrastructure to further its global threat intelligence, according to the announcement.
The cloud-based security infrastructure will be able to identify new threats using behavioural-based identification methods.
"Once an exploit is used, the people [employees] will pull it apart. Once we understand the exploit, we put it into the Smart Protection Network which informs the immune system of the Internet. People who use the Smart Protection Network will be protected against variants of the exploit", said Trend Micro global president of cloud security Dave Asprey.
The network will be able to identify and stop threats even faster than before, protecting users against the wide variety of attacks today, the company said.
The Smart Protection Network was introduced in 2008.
