Orange Business Services has bagged a three-year contract to implement and manage its Flexible Computing Premium solution for China's Haier Group.
Haier is based in Qingdao,China and is now the world's largest manufacturer of home appliances even as it also makes consumer electronics devices, mobile phones and computers.
An Orange Business Services press statement announcing the win described Flexible Computing Premium as a cloud computing solution and claimed it to be an agile, customizable, scalable and cost effective platform.
After Sales Service Center
According to the announcement, Haier will use the Internet-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution to connect its head office in Qingdao to its after-sales-service center in India.
It added the contract is an initial deployment of this solution for Haier and is modular industrialized catalog of cloud infrastructure and software management.
Being agile and customizable, the solution can be modified quickly and easily to respond to changing business needs.
Being scalable, various infrastructure can easily be added or taken away from the IaaS solution as the company evolves.
The press statement further claimed the Flexible Computing Premium solution will enable Haier to obtain significant savings from the pay per uses cost model stipulated in the contract.
Orange Business Software is the B2B arm of the French telecommunications giant, Orange SA based in Paris.
