NTT Data Business Solutions Malaysia is to expand beyond an ERP provider for automotive companies to becoming a full support centre for Southeast Asia, said the SAP enterprise resources planning consultant.
Speaking in Kuala Lumpur, Brian Dickinson, general manager of NTT Data Business Solutions Malaysia, announced new strategic initiatives to help organisations in the region realise more returns from their SAP investments.
Dickinson said the company has spent 12 months in transformation plans to enhance its skills to deliver best in class SAP project implementation and consulting services.
"Since acquiring BFMS, NTT Data Business Solutions have made significant investments in developing the local strengths of our people, particularly in the automotive and manufacturing areas, leveraging both our strong relationship with SAP and global NTT DATA family capabilities," he said.
"Going forward, our goal is to expand our footprint in the Asia Pacific region and establish NTT Data Business Solutions as the vendor of choice with SAP solutions and consulting services tailored to the needs of our customers in our target market which will also include the engineering and construction and the commodity trading sectors," said Dickinson.
The company will continue to position SAP as its "strategic enterprise backbone of choice by strengthening its delivery of SAP ERP [enterprise resource planning] solutions to its customers in the region," he said, adding that the range of expertise and solutions would encompass SAP's cloud solutions, mobility such as SAP Fiori, SAP HANA and Suite on HANA to help customers realise improved business outcomes across the entire enterprise value chain.
SAP cloud-based solution in 2015
Dickinson said that in 2015, the company will launch a new SAP cloud-based solution using the latest SAP in-memory and cloud technologies. "Legacy SAP users will be able to draw on real time insights to make more informed decisions by migrating to the new cloud platform."
"Malaysia is a vibrant market and we definitely see a lot of growth opportunities for us in the coming year," he said. "Especially with the uptake of mobility and cloud solutions around ERP gaining momentum in the region, I am confident that we will see an exciting growth phase for the company, as we continue to deliver value to our customers across the entire SAP solutions lifecycle with our vast pool of SAP experts", ended Dickinson.
NTT Data Business Solutions has 400 SAP consultants in South East Asia and Australia and more than 100 local customers in Malaysia.
