Global enterprise cloud storage provider Nirvanix has made public its choice to have Brocade's Ethernet and Fibre Channel fabric-based networking solutions as the core infrastructure for its various data centres across the world, particularly those serving customers of its CloudComplete public, private and hybrid cloud offerings.
Nirvanix executives have cited high scalability, performance and availability as key determining factors for their choice.
"As demand for our cloud storage services continues to increase, we require a highly scalable data networking infrastructure across all of our cloud deployments. Brocade's 10 Gigabit Ethernet switching portfolio and 8 Gbps Fibre Channel switches have demonstrated extreme levels of resilience and scalability for us to deliver continuous data accessibility and elasticity across multiple geographical locations worldwide," said Randy Hollis, VP or Engineering at Nirvanix.
Nirvanix has installed Brocade's ICX 6610 Ethernet switches, NetIron CER 2000 Series routers and ADX Series application delivery switches as essentials forming the data networking backbone that delivers its cloud storage services. In addition, it leverages the high-performance and high-availability connectivity delivered by Brocade 300 Fibre Channel storage area network switches in its data centres.
