NEC Thailand offers new services with cloud centre

Veronica C. Silva | July 11, 2012
SaaS apps for security and video conferencing are among the new services for Thailand customers.

NEC Thailand has announced the availability of new cloud-based services following the launch of its new Cloud Operation Centre in Bangkok.

On top of what NEC Thailand has been offering its Thai customers, the additional cloud-based services will help customers reduce operational costs while providing a secure environment.

The new cloud-based services to be available through NEC's Cloud marketplace will include software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications for cyber security and video conferencing. These new solutions are in addition to existing cloud services that NEC is currently offering its clients.

NEC Thailand is working with security software firm Trend Micro for the Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Services.  The security services are powered by Trend Micro Smart Protection Network security infrastructure, which detects and blocks the latest threats, viruses and dangerous websites whenever they emerge, protecting business all the time.

Video conferencing

Spontania is a new group video Web conferencing application that can be used on multiple devices in the same session over any network.

Since April 2011, NEC Thailand has already been providing SaaS and cloud solutions, such as HR e-Attendance, CRM, Accounting and Groupware to its business clients. The Trend Micro and Spontania solutions are new solutions for Thailand customers interested in expanding their services to their customers.

"NEC is progressively expanding its Cloud services and solutions, with the aim of bringing more prime solutions and applications onto our Cloud platform, to empower our customers with choices to suit their varied needs and requirements," said Hiroshi Sato, president, NEC Corporation (Thailand).

Sato added that customers are welcome to drop by the NEC Thailand offices to learn more about the cloud services that the company is offering.
