Level 3 Communications has expanded its Video Cloud Services into China following its recent agreement with China Telecom Global Ltd (CTG).
A press statement by the Bloomfield, Colorado-based telecoms company and Tier 1 Internet service provider said this will enable its content customers to access China's consumer market.
At the same time, it will allow CTG's content customers to distribute content and services globally.
Level 3's Video Cloud Services is a cloud-based solution that provides a full suite of IP -based video services and in connection with the agreement, a content delivery network (CDN) will deploy initially in Hong Kong even as additional expansions are planned across the region.
Among the video services included in Level 3 Communications' Video Cloud Services solution are Vyvx broadcast video acquisition, encoding and transcoding.
