Large-scale VDI deployment in rural Malaysia: Exclusive Teradici CEO interview

AvantiKumar | Dec. 4, 2014
In 2012, the Malaysian Ministry of Education commissioned Bitara Induk, Teradici and VMware to look into virtual desktop infrastructure deployment to rural areas.

As this initiative has been positively received, what are the plans for further deployment in other parts of Malaysia?

The Ministry of Education believes that access to high performance computing in the classroom is an essential aspect of today's educational experience for every child, no matter where they live. If this project is any indicator, the strategic use of IT by the Ministry to bring educational parity will have a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of school children - and the nation as a whole. We look forward to what the future holds for potential expansion to other parts of Malaysia.
