1) Thailand-AMATA Science City
This is a basic study case that was conducted from March 2012 to March 2013, together with The Japan Research Institute, Ltd. and five other companies. The project is for AMATA, a Thai company for developing and managing industrial complex. To sustain its economic growth and maintain environmental sustainability in Thailand, there is growing interest in risk management for natural disasters, like flooding. In this project, Toshiba was in charge for EMS to monitor and analyse energy use, to suggest the best optimised practice for AMATA Science City.
2) Malaysia- Green township concept
This is also a basic study case that was conducted since 2011 together with The Japan Research Institute, Ltd. and eight other companies. The overall research is to create an action plan for the conversion of the two Malaysian cities of Putrajaya and Cyberjaya to "green townships" (eco-cities), which Prime Minister Najib Razak is promoting, and proposing specific projects on the basis of that plan. Toshiba was in charge of EMS, and suggested methods for the concretisation of energy for Putrajaya City.
In Singapore, our recent track record of infra-solutions include automation systems with SingPost, PMSM motors for SMRT trains, and Modular Data Centres in the Nanyang Technological University.
