IO establishes Singapore as its regional headquarters for APAC

Nurdianah Md Nur | Sept. 18, 2013
IO Singapore will deliver DCaaS to help its customers in APAC achieve energy-efficient and scalable data centres.

To cement its commitment to the region, IO today launched its Asia Pacific operations with Singapore as its regional headquarters.

IO Singapore will deliver Data Centre as a Service (DCaaS) using the company's software-defined data centre technologies: IO.Anywhere and IO.OS.

IO DCaaS will enable software-defined cloud deployments at any scale, providing its customers with the agility to add more capacity when needed in a short time and without interruption to operations. It also provides customers with energy efficient and sustainable data centre infrastructure through the IO intelligent Control.

IO Singapore will be led by Adil Attlassy, executive leader for Global Operations, and Peter Goh, group leader for APAC.

To support the operations in the republic, IO has also "established critical regional ecosystem partnerships", said George Slessman, IO chief executive officer and product architect. Earlier this year, the company established a distribution partnership with Tractors Machinery International Pte Ltd in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, and an engineering partnership with McLaren Applied Technology.
