HP has made updates to its HP Helion portfolio and these consist of the introduction of the HP Helion CloudSystem 9.0 and enhancements to its HP Helion Managed Cloud Services.
A press statement by the Palo Alto, California-based IT vendor said that with version 9, the HP Helion Cloud System platform has now expanded support for multiple hypervisors and clouds.
On the other hand, the HP Helion Cloud Managed Services will launch into beta the Helion OpenStack Managed Private Cloud and HP Helion Eucalyptus Managed Cloud, both to be accessed as a service by way of a portal.
The press statement also announced that HP Helion Cloud Systems 9.0 integrates the HP Helion OpenStack and HP Helion Development Platform, providing customers an enterprise grade open source platform for cloud native application development and infrastructure.
HP Helion CloudSystem 9.0 will be available later this 2015, both as standalone software supporting a multiple vendor hardware environment and as a fully-integrated, blade-based hyper-converged infrastructure with HP Converged System.
HP Helion Managed Cloud Services will support development of cloud native applications within a managed cloud service by way of the HP Helion Development Platform and automation of select virtual private cloud services.
