ICT services provider Getronics has achieved the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification, which recognises Getronics' abilities to deliver cloud and managed services to accelerate time to market and time to revenue, it said.

Malaysia-based Jason Flanagan, Getronics chief executive officer for Asia Pacific and Japan, said Cisco "rewards partners for their expertise and investments in creating, selling and delivering cloud and managed services with financial incentives and go-to-market benefits in all countries of legal presence."

Flanagan cited Cisco forecasts that global cloud traffic, the fastest growing component of data centre traffic, is expected to grow 4.5 fold by 2017, a 35 percent combined annual growth rate from 2012

In addition, he said that Forrester Research expects cloud computing investments in Malaysia to reach RM2.8 billion [US$0.86 billion] by 2020.

"Getronics continues to invest in its portfolio, delivering unrivalled service and innovation to our customer base," said Flanagan. "We demonstrated deep expertise in implementing Cisco technologies in order to achieve the cloud and managed service programme accreditation, and look forward to delivering cutting edge solutions and first-class service to our shared customer base."

He said, "Getronics customers and prospects now have the additional confidence that the solutions provided by us are endorsed by Cisco. Our online implementation has gone beyond the Cisco CMSP requirements and we have implemented all Cisco recommended best practices."

 Business process automation

"The business process automation component of our solution is the key element of the application, providing process visibility and control, and this puts Getronics in a leading position in the market," he said.

In addition, Getronics has achieved Cisco Powered services designations in Cisco Powered Cloud (IaaS), added Flanagan.

He said that for existing Getronics' customers such as Alpha LSG, the accredited Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform delivers a reduction in IT complexity, faster deployment of new products and services and reduced license spend. Customers also benefit from increased innovation with new Getronics' services being incorporated onto the platform.

The Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification is part of the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Programme, which helps partners such as Getronics to envision, build, market, and sell cloud and managed services with business acceleration tools and services, sales training and the Cisco Cloud Marketplace to address the varied needs of its customers.

The Getronics family, which has 4,000 staff across the world, is an ICT Services group consisting of the Getronics and Connectis brands is owned by the AURELIUS Group, a holding company headquartered in Munich, Germany.
