Datacentre vendor, Equinix, has expanded its Australian team in an attempt to support the continued growth within the datacentre space.
It has made five new appointments to the Equinix Australia team -- Steve Dumbell as global solutions architect, Charlie Coletta as metro sales manager, Sue Poyzer as customer service manager, Grant Bowmer as sales executive, and Michelle Sheehan as marketing manager.
The company said, in a statement, that the new roles will enable it to further grow its datacentre and interconnection expertise as the sector has a lot of growth and opportunity ahead, especially with increasing numbers of companies moving to the Cloud.
Equinix Australia managing director, Tony Simonsen, said the newly created positions were established to help support the continued growth not only in Australia, but also the wider Asia-Pacific region.
"The expanding team exemplifies the continued growth of Equinix in the Asia-Pacific market. [The new employees] each have a history of excellent results and bring an abundance of experience. They will all make an invaluable contribution as part of our team as we grow Equinix to the next level," he said.
