Enterprise solutions company Epicor has appointed a cloud solutions leader to direct go-to-market efforts in Asia for Epicor Cloud ERP (enterprise resource planning).
Currently operating from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian industry veteran Roger Ling has been appointed as senior product marketing manager for cloud in Asia, effective immediately, said Epicor International's executive vice president Sabby Gill.
"Ling brings a wealth of experience in the evolution and implementation of cloud strategies across South East Asia, which makes him a tremendous asset to Epicor as we continue to expand our cloud-first strategy in the Asia Pacific region," said Gill.
He said Ling's focus will be on driving go-to-market efforts for Epicor Cloud ERP (enterprise resource planning) by helping customers realise the business benefits associated with moving to the cloud.
Ling, who joins Epicor after eight years with International Data Corporation (IDC), where he spent the last year focused on vendor Go-To-Market strategies, said, "As digital transformation and Industry 4.0 redefine the IT landscape, it is imperative that organisations adopt a paradigm shift in their ERP solutions."
"Cloud ERP reduces the complexity of implementing an ERP solution, and more importantly allows businesses to focus on driving business growth. It is exciting to be at the centre of this transition with Epicor, and to be working with people who share the goal of transforming Asian businesses into world-class, cloud-first operations," he said. "With innovative ERP solutions and our dedication to helping customers focus on business growth, we have the right tools to enable our Asian customers to keep pace with change, and provide a platform to support their future business growth."
During his eight years with IDC, Ling held a variety of analyst roles covering software and IT services research, and most recently was head of the IDC South East Asian Custom Solutions and Consulting business unit. He previously worked at Microsoft Malaysia as a Partner Account Manager for the Microsoft Business Solutions unit where he was in charge of growing the partner ecosystem in the country.
