Hong Kong-based hosting service provider Pacificnet Hosting Ltd (PacHosting) announced today (Tuesday, April 1, 2014) the launch of its elastic Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings. Company representatives said today that the new set of services are meant to give small and medium enterprises (SMEs) access "to the compute resources they need without having to invest in the people and technology needed to manage a complex cloud computing environment."
"PacHosting's IaaS solution can scale up and down easily on the fly," they said. "The solution is easy to administer, and flexible enough for the service provider to offer customers the various configurations that they required. More importantly, PacHosting's IaaS solution is designed to be easy for SMEs themselves to set up and manage."
Natalie Kong, Business Solution Analyst, PacHosting, went further, crediting a partnership with global provider of hosting and cloud services and cross platform solutions Parallels, for her company's new offering.
"As a leading hosting service provider in Hong Kong, we understand the business and operational environment in the SAR and have purpose-built our IaaS offerings to support SMEs that operate under extreme competitive pressures. Our IaaS portfolio is purpose-built to deliver fast, reliable and secure compute resources for SMEs no matter the size and business," said Kong. "By partnering with best-in-class technology vendors like Parallels, we are able to deliver highly elastic and very cost-effective solutions that enable SMEs to focus on their business without thinking about their technology needs."
