China Telecom Global introduces cloud-based security service

New service targets multinationals, SMEs entering China and China SMEs entering global markets.

China Telecom Global (CTG) has introduced a cloud-based managed security service (MSS) to serve the needs of multinationals and SMEs entering the China market as well as China SMEs seeking global markets.

A press statement by the Hong Kong-based subsidiary of China Telecom Corp. said the new service is the China Telecom Security cloud (CTS) which will provide customized security solutions against cyberattacks.

In doing so, CTG will provide clients with cloud monitoring and cloud protection services.

The press statement said the CTS is now available in 12 cities in the Asia-Pacific and over 21 cities.

Some of the APAC cities where it is now available are Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei and Seoul.

CTS is SaaS-based providing global 24 x 7 monitoring.  The telco said that the service can detect malware within minutes with more than 95% accuracy.
